Microsoft Do Something Right
While Sony seem intent on being evil, Microsoft do the right thing (although I don’t think that this will help their ambitions on being media providers/resellers).

Makes you wonder how much it must have amused MS to drop one big one on Sony doesn't it ? Well deserved too.

A company called Sunbelt Software just recently got into trouble for claiming some software (Spymon) is spyware . Will be interesting to see how this MS/Sony business pans out.....

Not so fast... have a quick gander at what PJ has to say on the matter first:
So, Symantec and "the big antivirus companies" already knew about the rootkit? According to this statement, it seems they did. Are they then liable as well as Sony? [...] Does that mean that Microsoft knew also and was complicit, deliberately ignoring the rootkit? The whole thing disgusts me, and I refuse to have anything else to do with Sony (or Microsoft, or Symantec, or ...). Re: Microsoft Do Something Right

Tom - just been catching up and noted another coincidence. Your birthday is the same as my eldest son's. Shame you're not really Tom - like my grand-son!
