...Nothing else until 6:00am when we get a "maternataxi" from a place our trip computer records as 0.4miles from the hospital. Still not to complain, as it's an easy job that gets us off on time.

Hey when i was in labour (both times) i was driving around. And one particular time i had to drive myself to the hossie in full blown OMG What The Hell Is Going On Mode as my partner had a driving ban.
I nearly crashed several times during contractions (as the hossie made me wait at home all day in labour and by the time i got in i was 5-6 cm dilated), but luckily we didnt live far from the hospital. Be glad you had to do a pick up, and not an emergancy car crash call where mum and baby are really injured. ;) Fluffy Re: As Predicted

Don't knock hormonal women in labour, you can't expect us to drive, that would be a nightmare and besides who could afford the hospital parking (if available)
