Your writing and your energy, commitment and appropriate frustration impress me very much.
In the late sixties, I found a book in Barnet Libraries called: "A Bell on my Fender" about working in the ambulance service. That helped influence me towards social work... I'd refer you (back) to an item in The Guardian today about Bob Holman: <"Nearly 30 years ago, Bob Holman gave up his post as a professor to live and work on a council estate and to campaign on the residents'
behalf. Erlend Clouston meets him.">
I found his story inspiring, and wonder if it speaks to you also. With good wishes, repect & appreciation for your service.
