Reynolds, You did the best job that could have been done. You did everything you could. You DO care about it- but your mind can't process it all as it all happens because if it did you would have a breakdown- and you would not be able to do your job. Somewhere your subconscious will protect you from things like this when you see them all the time; you process them in your own way. A client of mine had her firstborn die from meningitis earlier this year. It hit me... when I was walking with my friend and her kids to the local village church and the baby's grave was there (I didn't know she was buried there). Maybe you won't have that sadness for them now. Maybe not tomorrow. But when you are ready you will; I think it's differentiating between something that is your sadness and something that is empathetic sadness. Love Clarie
