Jesus bleeding Christ. What is so difficult about the concept that people who have to put heart and soul into a job really *need* good morale? You'd have to be a desk jockey who never did an honest day's work in your life. (I'm slipping into my usual reaction to nasty events: I'm having this beautiful daydream. Ambulance crews everywhere start working-to-morale. Collapsing bureaucrats slowly expire, listening to the crews argue about whether they get paid enough to deal with people like that.)
