My aunt had a melanoma but due to embarrassment about it's place on her body (down there) she left it for a long time. By then she had brain mets and died within 6 months. My mother has an unusual, lumpy, black mole about a penny diameter. After much prodding she has seen two doctors and been told it's benign. I have my doubts - do benign moles get so big? Glad your mum succumbed to the pressure! EJ
