You never can tell how people will react in an emergency. I can remember an old ambo mate of mine telling me about a toddler they'd pulled out of a backyard pool. The parents had called the ambulance all right, they just hadn't thought to actually remove the child from the water. Not good. And who are these nitwits who think normal labour is a medical emergency? Sheesh.
