Maternataxis - I can understand how you feel unless the family have no car and she's too far into labour for a taxi to agree to take them / they cant afford one.
My dad used to moan about delivering babies in the ambulance because you could do everything but cut the cord - that was a 'doctor's job, so baby arrived at hospital with two knots in the cord and placenta still attached.
