My sister works in a care home just now and doesn't like it any more. She's had numerous run-ins with the matron for criticising the nursing staff for their lack of patient care and compassion, but has been told she's "just a care assistant" and that the nurses are highly trained and know what they're doing. She does the best she can to make people comfortable, but she can't keep working there. She's just got a job at the blood donor centre, but she feels awful about leaving the residents with no-one on their side. Vikki.
