a good source of information about Alzheimer's or other dementias is your local Alzheimer's Society. You may find they have a support worker who could also give you some support/info. If you cant find out who/where local group is, I have managed to find out through the local Mind group (you should be able to find them!) helping a relative with dementia is hard on you too. if anyone offers you help, even if only a listening ear, take it!
