Short answer before I retreat to my coffin and sleep the day away. 1) Agreed, it would have been nice to ask/let me know. 2) I reckon it's fair use, although it is annoying how they edited it and removed the 'teeth' of the piece. 3) Nope, it's not in the public domain - anything _anyone_ creates is automatically copyrighted to them. For something like 75 years. So if someone were to publish this blog as a book, I could sue the arse off them. More on this later... ...but first, to sleep.
