Reminds me of the time when, after months of mentally beating myself up over the guilt of ending my marriage and the effects it would have on the kids, etc. I overheard the eldest, then 7, saying to his friend "since my daddy left home the house is full of smiles". I realised then that it had been the best move for all of us.
