I have one of those long term illness thingies and I have to repeatedly ask my doctor to give me the details about it that someone of your ilk would require should I go splat for some reason. I get the impression the GP thinks only hypchondriacs or malingerers should have such an unhealthy (geddit) interest in the ins and outs of their malady. Plus of course when you walk in the surgery there is the giant invisible clock going tick tick tick which if you are there more than a minute, will obviously apply a painful electrical charge to the physician's genitals.
