LAS at present do not thrombolyse, its the general concensus that here in london we are never further than 10-15 mins away from an A+E unit, and thrombolysing does have its risks (further infarcts and cva). However, as we are able to read and interpret ECGs, and after a couple of pilot schemes we are now able to 'blue' straight to a cardiac cath lab, thereby giving the patient a better chance of recovery IMHO.
