Our driving training consists of 3 weeks driving around the countryside in a 14 seater van. That's it. Blue lights and sirens from the first time you set foot in a real ambulance. No additional training for the fast car, although we do get assessed, which takes oh...one shift. Every copper I speak to is astounded by this.
