I'm surprised they don't have some more detailed map and ideally some way of annotating them, so that you can keep up to date and add usefull comments as you come accros new things (dead ends, short-cuts renamed buildings) Islinton council has these rediculously detailed maps online (taken from the OS 1:1250 series) to show all their cycle stands, listed buildings and even abandoned vehicles.
