I have more sympathy for the parents in most cases, if only because it isn't their fault that this is happening to them, and because it is a reasonable thing to call an ambulance for. Given that most of what we go to is not deserving, it is a change to have something that warrents an ambulance - and it's not a good thing that we can help with...
