Wow. It sounds trite, but for all the awfulness of it, at least he understood that it is wrong. He might need treatment for the rest of his life, but if he retains that core of horror against his urges, chances are he'll be more motivated to keep up the treatment and try and control it. What would be so much worse would be if he gave up and didn't try to fight it. I really hope he gets the help he needs.
