Nurses have to reregister every three years - you have to prove that you have worked 'X' amount of hours and have undertaken 'Y' amount of further training/update. All you have to do is sign a piece of paper attesting to this fact. Note - this may have changed, when I get closer to re-registering my nursing I'll have to ask.
