I often wonder what a GP thinks they *should* be doing in their job, as they tend to treat things like patients as an annoying distraction. I always feel like I'm taking up too much time when I do bother going (which is very rarely). And how come they seem to have stopped all useful local services at GP surgeries? I have a chronic illness so keep having to go for blood tests. But because I'm not over 60 I have to travel to the hospital, which is quite far away. Oh how I love sitting in a room full of twitchy needle-phobics, getting coughed and sneezed over, and then stuck by a vampire suffering from line hypnosis. No wonder I keep putting it off.
