Footbal might be a great thing and so is the World Cup, but it's driving me crazy. I'm an EMT living in Cologne, Germany. We mainly do 24 hours shifts and coming home after work being kept awake by football fans honking their horns all day and night isn't such a great thing. Even these before mentioned silicon earplugs aren't that effective and by the way who's going to hear my alarm clock?
