Err, you seem to have missed the point there.
Alcoholics are ill and vulnerable, it's very sad that society can't be arsed to treat them (or the elderly) properly.
I don't think many people want their lives to revolve around drinking, riding in ambulances and sitting in hospital waiting rooms.
