The LAS use 'Language line', which is a service that provides translators - it takes a little while to set up, but whenever I've used it (we have access to it on the road as well) it's been generally excellent.
Sure, it'd be nice to have translators up at Control - but manning is pretty poor at the moment anyway without worrying about hiring people who are multilingual.
But apparently manning will be going up soon...
