I am very happy that there was nothing major wrong with your mother. It's funny that she didn't want to go even though this is what you do for a living. It must be a mother thing. Mine called me once to say she was having trouble breathing, I told her to hang up and dial 911. She waited 2 hours for my father to get home to drive her to the hospital and was admitted with to pulmonary embolisms. Fine now, but I felt like she didn't trust my advice.
