Well - I went with the Friday Project because they seemed like good people to work with, even though they didn't pay the biggest advance. So yes, personal happiness is a good thing. I used to be happy posting leaflets through doors, when I was nursing I looked back on it as a golden job (apart from the pay that is). I think some of it is given away in the trackbacks to the article, there is talk of 'the masses' as a bad thing. "Separate yourself from the masses" is seen by some people as *always* a good thing. That is until everyone is 'separate', or as I like to call it 'divided'.
