I have actually worked it out. Should you manage to get onto station - look at the boiler/kettle... See that little switch and wire? It leads straight to Control, as soon as you touch it (for example to make a up of tea), a big red light comes on in front of all the dispatchers, and that lets them know they have to find us a job (preferably out of our area).
