All you have to do is look in the press for what happened at the Bristol Royal Infirmary last week. A poor patient was crushed by a car into the side of the ambulance she had just been unloaded from.
I personally think that all A7E unloading areas for ambulances should be patrolled fairly strictly and all private cars banned. I speak as earlier on tonight I got nearly missed by some loon doing nearly 20mph round a 90 degree bend, had it not been for my crew mate yelling at me I may now either be a few inches shorter (or preferably) flatter, with tyre marks for added interest!
