Personally, my quick fix would be bottled common sense! It would certainly reduce the number of inappropriate requests for an ambulance. I recently spent sometime in Paeds A&E (not as a patient!) and I was really concerned at the lack of common sense displayed by parents and at what people felt was acceptable use of the LAS (and the emergency department in general come to think of it).
