well I may a bit naive here, but, I would give this person a chance (can't help wondering how the mentioned colleague to be found information) as we live in a *free* country. If that "hook" fella can get away with his hatred stuff, then we should all be entitled to our own opinions. Personally, I couldn't give a stuff about colour/creed/sex or whatever so as long as its not forced on me. As long as is does not afect work performance, then why not get along the best you can, after all you don't have to be best buddies out of hours.
