OF COURSE you deserve your breaks.
It doesn't help that the Sun apparently got an insider to say it was a bad idea to make your breaks sacrosanct. It seems to me that the Sun is playing on the feeling that we (Joe Public)get that an emergency makes normal considerations like meals, cups of tea unnecessary. If my daughter cuts her knee the dinner can wait. It is no good thinking like this, though, if your entire life is spent solving emergencies. I can DELAY the dinner - I don't have to go without every day.
It's well known that "an army marches on its stomach" so why not other frontline troops? There'd be uproar if the army was expected to dash to MacDonalds for their lunch.
