I make lousy decisions when I'm hungry, and I'm not diabetic or otherwise ill. I feel aggressive, moody and distracted - I'd hate to have a hungry me looking after me if I was at death's door!
Even given the addition of relevant training, professionalism and job commitment that ambulance staff have (and I don't) it's still poor common sense to think denying people breaks makes for more effective workers. Still, The Sun newspaper - what can you say? At least without swearing....
