Oops. You didn't want to do that... I suppose if you're going to get yourself injured somewhere, there are worse places than in an ambulance.
I've never done any Mac programming, but I've always been impressed by the O'Reilly series of books - http://www.oreilly.com/ - so they're probably a safe bet.
