Al, I don't think stike action is being advocated. What is being advocated is that the ambulance services (i.e. management) stop collecting (meaningless) statistics for the government, and use the time and money saved on initiatives to improve patient care.
If I'm going to be treated and/or driven at high-speed to hospital, I would feel a lot happier if the persons treating me had been properly fed and rested during their shift.
Isn't an answer to put one some of the whitehall mandarins and/or politicians out as observers on a few shifts?
