It is nice to hear about people who get over their 'job's worth' attittued (or don't have one) and go beyond to offer help where others would turn away.
Further to Daniel's comment above, many people in this day and age are AFRAID to stop and render help - particularly if you're a woman travelling alone and coming across someone. People calling something in and carrying on driving is becoming more and more common (and more and more frustrating) all the time.
