I have worked in a council run residential home for 6 years , we too know our residents favourite foods, have activities 4 days a week, Involvement with local schools, we know the names of their relatives, have 2 budgies!! staff have regular training, very low staff turnover, show respect and dignity in all areas of our care, and when we lose one of our residents, we too shed tears with their relatives, We have a heart, so as you say there is some lovely homes that dont usually get mentioned.
