Workers at the Felix Holme care home in Eastbourne were instructed not to call emergency services unless they had the owners' permission.
"So when Mary Carty, a retired nurse, fell and suffered a fractured spine and a head injury last August, it took more than 20 minutes for the ambulance to be called. "
No criticism of the ataff for their lack of inititive for some reason. Although I find it hard to believe that anyone wouldn't have ignored the standing instructions in this case.
