Tom , I, like yourself care deeply for those who are unable to look after themselves .A "for instance" I always give pain relief (usually morphine) to broken hips etc. Do you see all paramedics do this?? Just because people can't scream does not mean they can't feel pain. I pray that I will not end up like that, to make sure I don't I have a living will, so no jumping on my chest !!
