please don't tar all 'care homes' with the same brush. As a nurse who has worked in one, we do sometimes give a good standard of care. One of the problems seems to be that in this compensation culture in which we live, we have to call an ambulance for the slightest thing to avoid being sued.
Whilst i appreciate what you are saying about drink being left out of reach, I have also seen this happen in hospital, though never on MY shift!
