the first thing i ask a crew, after saying hello and introducing the team, is to ask what time they're off shift. Mind you it works the other way to - we have been off late many times due to a crew taking it easy on the way back, so that they remarkably arrive back just in time to drop us off, and then become off the road due to missed breaks.
