Broadly agree, however, wearing the veil, hijab, or even full burqah does not prevent you from being recognised within your own community - 95% of people can be recognised by the way they walk for example, the women I know who wear the veil do so out of choice, also know others who reject it, depends on interpretation of hadiths.
