Actually every article and report I saw about this DID make a fairly major point of saying it was an eagle-eyed ambulance crew who spotted the smoke and whose swift actions led to the situation being resolved safely. But anyway I'd like to add my thanks. I used to work just a few yards from where that car was left. I shudder to think what could have happened. I hope the crew are readers of this blog and see people's appreciation of their vigilance.
