Re: One Month

I remember several years ago when I would come home from the trauma unit and proclaim it was a great shift. My definition of a great shift was one filled with shootings stabbings, and serious car accidents. It wasn't that I wished anyone to be injured or hurt; I just wanted to be there to help if it did happen. I'm still haunted by some of those memories and faces; particularly the ones that didn't make it. It's a tough life when things we find "interesting" are also those things that keep us up at night.
