Tom, you are just being honest and using your self knowledge to maintain a very balanced approach to your work. In modern psycho-speak it's called reflective practice. In my training days it was called knowing yourself and thinking about what you're doing and make sure you're doing it for the right reason. It's the people who are not honest with themselves and lack insight who sometimes get to stay in professions to which they are totally unsuited (power freaks, saviours, psychopaths).As usual...good on you!
