Medical professionals lie on a daily basis to their patients - most of them are little white lies: "This won't hurt a bit" "You'll feel a little discomfort" "A mammogram is pain-free - you may feel a bit of a pinch" "Ah, I've got a good vein here" I could understand perhaps if Tom worked in the US - where medical care is NOT funded by the government, and where a short hospital visit can concievably cost more than an average home mortgage, that folks would support rejecting transport to hospital. I don't entirely understand this in the UK. If I'm ever over there - and drop down and refuse transport - please lie to me, k?
