Not being funny, but exactly the same happens to the police from the LAS. We frequently get calls that are routed straight from LAS control to police control rooms, not at the request of crews. I've often been sent to a call to assist an LAS crew and found them perfectly happy wondering why we've been called. I don't resent going to any call where an LAS crew requires police but just to point out that this works both ways.... I enjoyed the book by the way, see you at the RVP for the big job...
