The business of performing ridiculous overkill began when the American courts in New York and Califorina decided that anyone who suffered any kind of an injury was entitled to cash compensation.
This applies to anyone anywhere with the sole exception of Acts of God. This exemption ends if the lawyers are ever able to prove a link between God and the Catholic Church.
