Whatever else, it is clearly totally innappropriate to hold the ambulance service in the least bit responsible for these delays...those concerned have fully discharged their responsibility by turning up, treating the emergency and then arriving with the patient at A & E - after this point it's up to someone else and I cannot but feel the senior Ambulance Manager quoted has done his staff no favours at all by being so defensive...
