It might be on the contrary, even, given that all pregnancies with medical complications or other known risks are referred to hospital upfront anyway
They try to account for that in the research, most often by only counting babies born of a certain weight or above.
Our health visitors visit new mothers, but not anywhere as much as you have experienced with your previous midwives.
