Yep - I agree with you there. But then is there a point where you draw the line and say that a certain cultural practice is unacceptable? Or to put it bluntly - why is Ramadam acceptable but female circumcision isn't? The veil is acceptable, but multiple wives isn't. Halal butchering is fine, dog fighting isn't. (And yes, I know that's a horrible mix of examples - but I hope you see my point. That and I need a cup of tea before I can write more better)
