Hiya, I don't know you or anything about you, but all I can say is that if I was in your unit and next in your working day, I'd rather you'd come professionally unfeeling from a failed resus than shaking and upset, mulling more on big philosophical questions than on my immediate needs. How can anyone face tragedy every day, and not have to close off a little at times?
